We can't be afraid of playing Antonio, but we have to avoid wearing him out. So he should be on the bench for a bit of a run out. Last 20/25, say. Definitely if we need a goal, but even if we're winning 3-0. He shouldn't go too long without match time, just as he shouldn't be overused. Goldielocks Zone, innit.
The ideally, we'll be 3-0 up vs Leeds, at which point I'd take him off after 60/70 mins.

Massive. Although it's a bit irrational why some players would get more shit for it. Lanzini would too.
I think only Rice, Noble or Soucek would be immune from it.

Fuck knows! That's a huge problem at the moment. Before Sunday you'd say Noble was the only reliable taker. None of the others I trust. I'll give Noble a pass as he was stone cold when he came on.
From those I've written, Noble or Lanzini. If Yarmolenko is playing, I fancy he can take a decent one.
With Noble not making the team usually, in terms of those who ARE in the first team regularly, I'd have to say Cresswell or Soucek. Maybe Benrahma. Rice needs to work on it

I think we're all aware of the situation - it appears everybody except the board (possibly Moyes) knew we needed another striker irrespective of whether Antonio was injury prone or not. Fact is, we didn't get anybody in , therefore there is a need to protect our most important player and 3rd round league cup games are not the time to be risking him

I can't see us puttling out a strong side TBH. Especially with two 'must wins' coming up in the Leeds and Vienna games. Them either.
Expect Areola, Fredericks, Masuaku, Dawson, Diop, Kral, Lanzini, Noble all in the starting line up.

a) Not that I give too much of a crap what they think, they do see us some kind of rival according to a recent survey. Man United fans voted West Ham as their 6th biggest rivals behind Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Leeds, and Arsenal. We voted them as our 4th behind Millwall, Chelsea and Spurs.
b) It's a shame you think that way. It's still likely our best chance to win silverware even thought the BIG 4 tend to win it.

a) we might dislike Man U - but they most definitely don't view us as a rival
b) I honestly couldn't care less about the League Cup THIS season - I have in previous, but I'd be much more inclined to attempt to protect our league position and get out of the group stages of the Europa
Neither of us know who's fault it is regarding getting in a back up Striker - it's just inept from the club full stop. Vlasic wasn't needed - Back up for Antonio was
